Africa Reads appreciates and strives to create partnerships with individuals, donors or organizations to support its mission in promoting literacy in Africa.

Recycling For Rhode Island Education

Africa Reads has partnered with Recycling for RI Education (RRIE), a Rhode Island non-profit organization that captures manufacturer seconds, cast-offs and overruns and re-directs them to teachers, youth groups and other non-profits. Like African Reads, Recycling for Rhode Island Education has as its vision that children will be competent and confident through self-discovery and active participation in learning and creative experiences. Both organizations recognize that children need materials to learn, and that literacy is a widespread primary target area for early learning, and both embrace a philosophy of recycling and reusing educational materials, the two organizations will partner with each other to service students by creating educational back-up kits to accompany books sent to Uganda.
